Hello, and welcome to you all. We’re very excited to share our big band news with you for the first time as The Front Row Big Band. This includes our upcoming big band gigs in Norfolk and Norwich. Jazz at The Hall – November 9th

We’ve been busy rehearsing for our first gig ‘Jazz at The Hall’ on Thursday the 9th of November 2023. This will be under our new name, the Front Row Big Band, and will be playing some all-time great numbers including a couple of Glenn Miller classics. We’ll be mixing these with some more contemporary arrangements and vocals from the sublime Lindsey Ball.

The gig is at Dunston Hall, in the intimate setting of The Eaton Suite (contrary to rumor not named after our musical director). The Eaton Suite is a 70-capacity room with a licensed bar in the lovely surroundings of the 4-Star Dunston Hall Hotel situated on the A140, just south of the Norwich Southern Bypass (A47). There is plenty of free parking onsite and the room is on the ground floor with easy access. We start at 8 pm and will play two 50-minute sets aiming to finish by 10:15 pm.

You can book tickets here at just £10 per person. We advise pre-booking, as any remaining tickets will be available on the door for £11, cash or card accepted.

Front Row Winter Warmer – December 6th

On Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, we will be heading to North Norfolk at The Venue, Holt. We will be mixing up the programme this time to include the all-time big band classics, with a sprinkling of Christmas thrown in for good measure. The concert will start at 7:30 pm and finish by 9:50 pm.

A Swingin’ Christmas – December 17th

Our last gig this year will be ‘A Swingin’ Christmas’ on Sunday 17th December at 3 pm, in The Sunningdale Suite at Dunston Hall. We’ve decided to make this an afternoon event so our customers can take advantage of the food and drink at Dunston before and after the concert if they wish. This will be wall-to-wall Christmas Big Band music with Lindsey Ball and Martin Eaton supplying the vocals.
